Should of…. would of…. could of…CAN!

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and so we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also boast in tribulation, knowing that tribulation produces patience, patience produces character, and character produces hope.” Romans 5:1-4

Want to know the biggest benefit of being a Christian? First, even if it is a hoax, you get the hope of eternal peace; and, secondly, if it is as it says (and has said for thousands of years!), you get the promise of eternal peace. So, by simply believing, we are in a win-win situation.

Accepting Christ, declaring Him as the Son of God, and handing our hearts over to Him justifies us in His sight. In other words, our past doesn’t matter. Our present doesn’t matter. Our future matters very much. We have peace with God through our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The bible says so.

We are also granted access to not only receive this grace, but to extend it. We are able to stand in grace. Our mistakes are forgiven, and we learn to grant grace to others. Just as God granted it to us.

We find internal joy based on an eternal hope of God’s glory. This entire relationship is wrapped up in the promise that, regardless of what we face, we know that God is in it. God uses everything. Nothing is wasted.  The good. The bad. The ugly. Every experience in life teaches us a lesson making us a stronger Christian and better person.

Trials produce patience as we walk through them. Patience produces character – we become more understanding people. Character produces hope.

We come full circle; back to where we started. Our willingness to believe offers us hope for an eternity where trials and tribulations no longer exist. I implore you to believe. What do you have to lose? Again, if thousands of years of Christianity is wrong, you’ve lost nothing. If it proves true, you gain everything.

Please don’t be caught dead saying, “I should of,” or “I would of,” or “I could of…” Right now. Today. In this moment, you CAN begin anew and embrace a newness of life. Forever and ever. Amen.
