“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

Do you see it? Don’t miss it. Don’t skim over the message and miss its meaning. We are God’s handiwork! That’s all of us. You, me, the President, the caravans of people coming to America, even those in Congress are God’s handiwork! <wink> If we could truly grasp this message and put it into play, the world would be a much nicer place to live!

“Created in Christ Jesus.” We, that’s all of us, are created in the likeness of Christ. We feel. We hurt. We influence. Good or bad – we influence those around us. Jesus influenced for the good. Let’s be like Jesus!

“To do good works.” Wow. Think about that. We weren’t created like Christ to sit back and criticize. We weren’t created in Christ to make others feel inferior, or worse – stupid. We weren’t created to judge the world. We were created to do good works. What does that mean to you? What do you have to contribute? Well, then, please start contributing!

“Which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Do you realize you were known by God before you were born? Each of us are born with a certain set of skills. (I’m tempted to quote Liam Neeson in “Taken,” but will resist the urge.) We were created to honor, serve and glorify the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. When we accept Him and His teachings, we are part of His big picture.

So, let’s review: We are God’s handiwork. We are created in the image of Christ Jesus. We are called to do good things with our life. And, remember, your purpose was determined a long time ago. So, believe it. Embrace it. Go out and discover it. When you do, depression and competition will disappear because you will understand. You are one in a trillion zillion billion. There is no one exactly like you. Or me. (Thank goodness, huh?)
