“The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” Psalm 121:7-8

Sometimes it is so difficult
To see how life has changed.
To know that we are growing old,
And things will never be the same.
At the same time, if we still have breath,
Joy can always be found!
Comfort in His love comes to us.
Oh, so subtlety…
At times, without a sound.
We watch as friendships come and go.
We survive as others die.
We mature to the point we understand
God allows us to question, “Why?”
Some of those who are closest to us
Seem to fade away.
At times, the move is geographical.
Other times, there’s nothing left to say.
Sometimes people simply change.
Time changes situations, too.
Sometimes all the changes combined
Leave us feeling blue.
That’s why this verse is so important.
As it clearly explains,
Regardless of the outside turmoil,
All we need to do is call His name.
We call Him, “Father.” We call Him, “Savior.”
We call Him “Lord” and “King.”
Yet, if we do not call Him often
His names won’t mean a thing.
Jesus is our answer – an anchor for our soul.
Regardless of time, He remains the same.
His consistency allows stability
To be rooted in our soul.
