What part of "replenish" don't you get?

No, I am not an alarmist. I could have been a tree hugger but I was born 10 years too late.

Let me tell you what I am. I am an American citizen who has watched people die from cancer for far too long. I am the baby sister of two women who died prematurely due to breast cancer. I am a melanoma skin cancer survivor and have a parent that survived bladder cancer.

I am also someone who has gone through genetic testing to be told the cancers hitting my family are not genetic; they are environmentally induced.

Could we at least pretend to be interested in our environment? Can we show just a tad bit of compassion and interest in the lives and health of others? Is our greed really that out of control? Is a stupid campaign promise worth digressing on how we view this planet and our Christian responsibility towards it?

Coal mines will improve the economy? Is that because coal workers can continue to risk their lives in soot mills to make a product no one wants to buy OR because all of the medical expenses incurred from continued increases in cancer across the globe will keep doctors, lawyers, and insurance companies “healthy?”

It doesn’t do any good to be employed if you aren’t going to live long enough to retire. Give me a break, Mr. President. Oh, you’re going to “make America great again.”  We just won’t be alive to notice.
