Always remember...

May I share my experience with you? I took advantage of Super Bowl Sunday and went to the nail salon. Just as I suspected, there was not a crowd. I was there for the pre-game show as well as the kick-off festivities. God is so good. I cannot imagine being anywhere else (well, besides with Tommy eating nachos in my den) that would offer such a deep, emotional experience.

When the game started and Luke Bryan stepped up to sing the Star Spangled Banner, every employee in the shop stood. Every single employee. I teared up and said, “America is so great.”  My nail tech replied, “God bless America. I want America to remember that it is great.”

I pray that we remember our greatness. I pray that we realize the gift we are to the down-trodden.  I pray that we realize that we are the world leader that has been blessed and asked to show the rest of the world The Way.

"God Bless America"
By Irving Berlin

While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
let us swear allegiance to a land that's free.
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair, as we
raise our voices in a solemn prayer.

God Bless America, land that I love.
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam.
God Bless America, my home sweet home.
God Bless America, my home sweet home.
