God is always fair...

Psalm 119:140-144, “Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them. Though I am lowly and despised, I do not forget your teachings. Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true. Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands give me delight. Your rulings are always righteous.”

When we follow Christ, we can trust Him. Even in those times we feel isolated and hated, we can count on what God’s word says to us. God is righteous, has always been righteous, and will be righteous forevermore. God’s word is true. We all face issues and challenges. When they hit us, it is time to go to God’s word. I've been reading Psalm 119. The words encourage me reminding me that He always tells the truth and He is always fair.

The Bible teaches us that man, human beings, often judge based on what we see. God knows our hearts. He knows our souls. He knows our intent. Another person cannot tell us what to think or how to feel. Through bible reading and prayer God will paint a picture for us that is filled with hope. The bible is God’s love letter to us. It is filled with history, life examples, teachings, commands, and promises.

I’ve heard a lot about God’s anger, God’s wrath, and God’s judgement over the past year. I hope each of us will take some quiet time away from all of society’s noise, read Psalm 119, pray, and trust Him.

He knows what He is doing. He’s been doing it for a very long time.

“Lord, forgive my arrogance. It is idolatry. Forgive my anger and confusion. Lord, help us, please. Gather Your children together. We need a pep talk. We need You. Remind us of who we are in You. Remind us why we are still in this world. Amen.”
