We don’t know what we don’t know and we don’t even know we don’t know it.
If you have Netflix, Xfinity On-Demand, Dish Hopper – whatever you may have, I strongly encourage you to watch this 5-part documentary. I am showing just the trailer. I suggest you watch it alone so that you don’t have to worry about what other people in the room are doing or thinking. I suggest you watch it in bits and pieces because it is overwhelming. I challenge you to watch it and not feel like you have to debate its content. Just watch it and listen. We’ve created a monster and then we get angry when the monster rears its ugly head. It’s our monster. The monster belongs to all of us.
WARNING: You will be uncomfortable, angry, amazed, frustrated, proud, determined, confused, concerned, and probably sad. In most cases, your race will determine your reaction. Until we reach a point that race doesn’t determine our reaction, nothing will change. History repeats itself until we learn the lesson God wants to teach us.
1 John 4:7, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”
